After blogs called for its execution, Palm quietly killed off the Foleo Project, so they could more effectively "focus all of [their] energies on delivering [their] next generation platform and the first smartphones that will bring this platform to market."The Foleo was meant to be an extension of your smartphone; wirelessly connecting to provide a 10 inch screen and full-size QWERTY keyboard, along with a PC-like user interface.
It made question marks pop up above the heads of many a Palm fanboy, forcing many to ask, "Why?"
Palm says that the Foleo will return once their new platform is up and running.
